Outreach Programming - ExerCYSe is Medicine
The ExerCYse initiative is a Department of Kinesiology outreach program managed by faculty and graduate students in our lab. The ExerCYse program has evolved and grown over the past 3 years to be a large and sustainable department of Kinesiology Outreach program. Visit the ExerCYse website for more information (www.ExerCYse.org)
A strength of the program is the ExerCYse Ambassador network that we have established. Students volunteer to participate and support programming through a variety of channels
- Campus Programming
- ExerCYse Peer Network
- Community Programming
- ExerCYse Time
- VERB Summer Scorecard
- Youth Programming
- ACES / School Programming
- Senior Programming
- Retirement Home Programming
A key goal in the ExerCYse program is to provide information through campus and community channels about the importance of physical activity and healthy lifestyles. The student team puts out monthly eNewsletters to subscribers.
