Labs and Resources

The Physical Activity and Health Promotion Labs are set up as an integrated set of labs to facilitate a variety of different lab and field based projects.

Research Lab (164M Forker) - Data Collection   

The data collection lab includes a variety of equipment for applied physical activity research. The lab is equipped with a variety of physical activity assessment monitors and tools. Energy expenditure studies are conducted using a portable metabolic system (Oxycon Mobile). The lab also has equipment for anthropometry, and standard laboratory equipment for exercise testing (e.g. treadmills and exercise bikes). Various software applications are used for health promotion in school, worksite and clinical settings.

Research Lab (164L Forker) - Data Processing  

The data processing lab is set up with a number of computer workstations to facilitate processing and interpreting of data. The various computers are set up for downloading and analyzing various activity monitors or for statistical analyses. .
